Attorneys

 

          Michael J. O'Connor, a former decorated New York City police officer has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 1989.  He graduated from the City College of New York and Capital University Law School.  Mike was previously employed with the City of Columbus Prosecutor's office and was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio.  

          Mike likes to compete in triathalons and is a mountain climbing enthusiast and has summitted some of the United States highest peaks.  

 

 

          William H. Mikita has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 1983. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and Ohio Northern University College of Law.  Bill has concentrated his practice primarily in the area of family law and bankruptcy.  Since 1990, however, after working for AARP, he is one of the few attorneys in our area who practices Medicaid planning, nursing home placement and other elder law matters.

          Bill, his wife, Pattie and their four daughters lead active lives.  He is also a writer who has recently optioned a screenplay to Hollywood.

 

 

          L. Joshua Davidson graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and worked as a technical writer and systems analyst for Hughes Aircraft Company in Long Beach, California.  He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 1993.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, criminal defense, DUI, traffic and general civil litigation, including real estate and landlord/tenant matters.

 

       Andrew J. Helmes is a life resident in the Cincinnati area, having graduated from the University of  Cincinnati’s College of Law.  He has been involved in the field of Workers’ Compensation representation since 1997.  Andrew has represented the interests of corporate employers as well as injured workers.  His past experience on the employer’s side of the table has made him familiar with the kind of obstacles and arguments one is likely to face in getting a compensation claim allowed by the Ohio Industrial Commission.

       Andrew has been previously employed as a law school admissions test instructor and currently works as a free-lance musician in his spare time.  For the past several years he has been involved with the orchestras for the Cincinnati Young People’s Theater and the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts.
